PROGRAM OVERVIEW

In the rural communities of Peru’s Sacred Valley, access to timely emergency response and first aid training can be limited by geography, resources, and infrastructure.

The Peru Community Paramedic Challenge invites you to work alongside local partners to support health education, build emergency preparedness, and strengthen community response in these remote areas - while immersing yourself in one of the most culturally rich regions of the country.

Making an Impact

Contribute towards global health and well-being!

Supported by our team on the ground, you will work with local community members in the Sacred Valley, including school children, teachers and parents. As you contribute to our long-term health projects, your goal will be to improve overall community health. This program is very hands-on, and you can expect to be involved in:

Raising awareness and delivering first aid and safety workshops at schools and in the community to teach locals how to administer first aid and treat themselves in an emergency.

Collaborating with local first responders to help upskill volunteers in the local area.

Conducting community health screenings and basic vital sign checks to help reduce barriers to access to healthcare.
